The History of Morgan County, Ohio, 1980, 2nd Edition is a 508-page, hardcover, black and white, genealogical book published by the Morgan County Historical Society in McConnelsville, Ohio.  The first 336 pages primarily contain hundreds of community-written family histories, alongside historical sketches of the county’s 15 townships, 2 villages, and Stockport, along with numerous photos. Nearly 1,000 residents and former residents participated in this massive collaborative project to document their ancestry and contains thousands of descendants and individual families in family biographies. Township histories of the county’s townships (e.g., Penn, Malta, Marion) are also included, as well as details about local landmarks covering early pioneer establishments and towns like McConnelsville and Stockport.  The last 164 pages contain a detailed Name Index.
